The Blackstone Chamber of Commerce and The Classic Grill are teaming up with Commonwealth SolutionsVA (a division of STEPS, Inc.) for the "First Community Shred Day." This event is open to the public on Saturday, May 12 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, in the parking lot next to The Classic Grill. By taking advantage of this service, residents can safely dispose of sensitive documents and better protect themselves against identity theft. The normal rate for shredding is $.10 per pound. Blackstone's monthly cruise-ins are scheduled for the last Saturday of the month. The dates are April 28, May 26, June 30, July 28, August 25, September 29, and October 27.
