The Farmville-Fulcher March for Babies Committee is pleased to announce that the annual March for Babies event will take place on Sunday, April 26 at Centra Southside Community Hospital at 2 PM. If you would like more information on becoming involved, starting a team, joining the leadership team, or making a donation, please contact Eboni Lee at 392-9528. March for Babies is a fundraising event for the March of Dimes.

Join the Moton Museum on Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. for their Brown Bag Lunch Series. The free series features guest speakers, authors, films and performances, open dialogue and engaging discussions around local history, current events and more.

On the first Tuesday of each month, Burger King (located at 1004 South Main Street) will donate 20% of their proceeds to Habitat for Humanity. Stop by for dinner from 5:00 - 9:00 PM to show your support.

Residents and businesses within the town and Prince Edward County can sign up for CodeRED, an emergency alert system. Examples of alerts include severe weather warnings, evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, and missing child reports. Alerts can be sent out via text message, e-mail, or telephone. To sign up, visit the CodeRED website or call 392-2114.
