Fraud Prevention CenterSpot that scam before you get burned!

In today's world, consumers must safeguard their personal information and be aware of many fraudulent activities. Benchmark wants to help you by providing resources that will assist you in protecting yourself, online and offline.

About Phishing

Please use caution if you receive any e-mails that ask you to provide confidential information or to click links to visit web pages that ask you to provide confidential information. This practice is known as "phishing," and many of these fraudulent e-mails may appear to be from an official or trusted source. However, many such e-mails are sent by criminals attempting to trick recipients into providing information like user names and passwords.

Reputable companies would never send e-mails asking you to provide confidential information via e-mail. Clicking links within these messages could place malicious files or applications on your computer. If you receive any suspect messages, do not reply to the e-mail. Instead, delete the message from your inbox. Review our Security Alerts page for the latest examples of bogus e-mails that you may receive from scammers.
