Benchmark Announces Jones, Bailey Promotions
March 11, 2019 - Benchmark Community Bank is pleased to announce the promotions of Todd Jones and Billie Jo Bailey for two of the bank’s Mecklenburg County locations.
Clarksville Branch Manager Todd Jones has been promoted to Vice President/Business Banker serving the South Hill and Clarksville branches. A Clarksville resident, Jones started his banking career in 1994 as a teller and, prior to joining Benchmark in 2009, worked through the ranks with increasing responsibility with several several institutions. Since 2014, he served as Vice President/Branch Manager of Benchmark’s Clarksville location. He is a 1993 graduate of Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC, as well East Carolina University’s RMA-ECU Advanced Commercial Lending School. In his community, Jones serves as Secretary of the Town of Clarksville Planning Commission, and is active with Twin Rivers Masonic Lodge No. 338 where he serves as Treasurer, Mecklenburg County VA United Way, Mecklenburg County VA YMCA, and Scottish Rite, Shriners of North America.
Billie Jo Bailey, a 21-year Benchmark veteran, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager for Clarksville, replacing Jones at the helm of the Clarksville branch. A resident of Fort Mitchell, Bailey began her banking career in 1998 as a Teller/Customer Service Representative. Prior to her most recent promotion, Bailey served as Assistant Vice President/Assistant Branch Manager of Benchmark’s South Main Street location in Farmville. While in the Farmville area, Bailey was an active member of the Farmville Jaycees and served as President, Secretary, and State Director. Additionally, she has coached youth athletic teams with Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association (PEFYA). She looks forward to affiliating with local civic organizations in the Clarksville area.
In his new role, Jones will focus on serving commercial customers for their deposit and borrowing needs. “Small business is the lifeblood of our communities. I truly enjoy helping people find solutions for the situations they encounter with their businesses,” Jones said. “I’m excited to be working with business owners who contribute so much to the quality of life we enjoy here in Mecklenburg County.”
Bailey credits great mentors with helping her to move into her new role with Benchmark. “I have always been fortunate to have had great mentors who shared with me the knowledge and tools I needed to advance to the next step in my career,” she said. “I believe Benchmark truly cares about its employees and customers and it shows throughout each community we serve. I’m excited to be bringing to Clarksville the legacy of service that is such a large part of who Benchmark is.”
In making the announcement, Benchmark’s Executive Vice President for Retail Banking LeAnne Emert said, “It is such a privilege for us to have a hand in the development of Todd’s and Billie Jo’s banking careers. They are both seasoned professionals who bring so many talents and skills with them to their new roles. Their focus on serving our customers and communities is exemplary and we know they both will continue to have bright futures with Benchmark.”
